SABROSITO Cooks it up at SNAPPER’S FISH MARKET

TORONTO – “I love cooking for a crowd,” says Carlos Fuenmayor, Chef-Owner of Sabrosito, a Toronto caterer specializing in onsite dinner parties, and the city’s pre-eminent instructor of Pan-Latino cuisine.

Fuenmayor has been teamed up with Snapper’s Fish Market Proprietor Laurie Hamilton for nearly two years now, ever since he began buying all his fish from her charming shop in Bloor West Village.

Last year, they decided to host Sunday afternoon cooking demonstrations, and the events became so popular, they’re now a regular feature.

“My customers love his animated style and warmth,” says Hamilton. “His passion for cooking really comes through, and then when they taste his creations, he completely wins them over.”

“I’m Laurie’s biggest fan,” says Fuenmayor. “I buy all my clients’ fish from her. Fish is serious business. It’s got to be impeccable. With Laurie, it always is.”

During the event, the duo invites attendees to enter a free draw to win a catered cocktail party for 8.

High Park resident Alexandra Brown won the draw in November and was so excited by what Fuenmayor was offering as cocktail party canapés, she decided to hire him to cater other courses as well.

“Carlos and his team produced a wonderful event filled with incredible, fresh taste sensations,” wrote Brown in her testimonial for Fuenmayor’s website. “Everything worked like clockwork, and our kitchen was left immaculate. I’ll definitely use him again.”
